Content
We will present the QCD component of the Unified European Application Benchmark Suite (UEABS). The UEABS is an initiative of PRACE to create and maintain a benchmark suite of application kernels representative of the European scientific computing landscape. Several kernels have been included based on publicly available software packages from various lattice QCD collaborations, including BQCD, openQCD, tmLQCD and MILC. Recently, UEABS has been extended to include accelerated kernels, i.e. for HPC systems with NVIDIA GPUs and Intel Xeon Phi.
An overview of the QCD kernels will be presented, followed by representative results from running the benchmark kernels on recent PRACE Tier-0 systems with and without accelerators. We will discuss scalability as well as the floating point performance obtained.
