SU(4) symmetry of hadrons upon the near-zero modes truncation and its implications for high T.

We overview our results on hadron spectroscopy upon truncation of the near-zero modes of the overlap Dirac operator. A density of the near-zero modes is directly related to the quark condensate. Apriori their truncation should lead to SU(2)_L * SU(2)_R restoration. However a degeneracy that is larger than SU(2)_LSU(2)_RU(1)_A is observed. This symmetry turnes out to be SU(4) that includes chiral symmetry of the QCD Lagrangian as a subgroup. It is a symmetry of the confining chromo-electric interaction. The chromo-magnetic interaction breaks this symmetry. We can consequently conclude that while the confining electric interaction contributes to all Dirac modes, the magnetic interaction is localised in the near-zero mode zone.
Appearance of such a symmetry is predicted at high temperatures. It would imply that the high T phase is confining with elementary objects to be SU(4)- symmetric "hadrons".
