I describe applications and extensions of a new technique for determining total transition rates into multi-hadron final states using lattice QCD. I will outline the connection of our new approach to the method of Lellouch and Lüscher, which gives decay amplitudes rather than total rates but is of limited utility when many decay channels are open. The Lellouch-Lüscher relation, together with other analytic constraints, can potentially be used to improve the infinite-volume extrapolation required in our approach. Finally, I will summarize prospects for applying the method to study the onset of deep inelastic scattering as well as semi-leptonic weak decays. This is the second half of a two-part talk, with the first half presented by Daniel Robaina.
