Granada is a city that has always fascinated visitors. They are spellbound by the beauty of the architecture and design of the Moorish citadel and palaces of the Alhambra (UNESCO world heritage site) and the sensual harmony of water and gardens in the Generalife, and equally enchanted by unforgettable sounds and dances of flamenco in the caves of the Sacromonte. Above all, Granada is a city of majestic buildings and small squares, streets and old houses. Attendees will enjoy spectacular sights such as the sunset from the old Albayzin quarter (UNESCO world heritage site), with its picturesque and narrow streets and in the Christian city the splendid Cathedral and Royal Chapel.
The afternoon of Wednesday 21 June has been allocated for excursions, and we are currently in the process of organising a selection of options.
In addition, on Monday 19 June there will be a private night visit to Alhambra palaces from 20:30 to 22:00, included in the registration fee.
There are plenty of opportunities for sightseeing and cultural as well as recreational activities in Granada. More information with links to tourism official sites, including the on-line Alhambra ticket office, and cultural guides can be found on the conference web site
This information will be updated with further suggestions and practical local information.
